Bad things...

I've had a bit of misfortune this week. My air conditioner is broke. Well, its not so much broke as the venting underneath the house has come loose in a few places and there's no pressure. Which wouldn't be such a big deal to fix, if it weren't for the fact that the crawl space under my house keeps flooding every time it rains. And it has rained (or more aptly stormed) nearly every day.

Luckily, I do live on the lake and there is almost always a nice, cool breeze blowing. So I've kept the windows open, the fans on, and the house is tolerable for most of the day. It's only between noon and 3 that its gotten unbearably hot. Solution--go over to my grandfather's and go swimming! Brilliant idea, only I forgot to put sunscreen on and now have a serious sun burn!

Despite all this, I am enjoying summer for the most part. I've been writing and getting things done for the most part. There are things still to do, but I've got time.
