I never thought I'd say it...

...but I'm kind of looking forward to going back to be normal sub. Don't get me wrong, I love that I'm teaching, and moreover teaching a subject I love. But it would be nice to be able to leave work and NOT think about it all night. I suppose if I were in a permanent position I would eventually get to that point again.

But right now, its just driving me nuts. I'm definitely in "survival mode". I can't wait for October to get here.

I want to get back to writing. I just don't have the time. Chapter 10 of DoI is burning in the back of my brain.

Bliss!

In case you're wondering what my good luck is, I've been asked to be long term sub at a local high school. It's only temporary, but for the next month or so, I get to teach Medieval poetry and Beowulf to seniors. And even AP English seniors at that. It will be lots of work, but its something I enjoy.

Well, see if I'm this exuberant in two weeks. But for now...hooray!
